Meet the Northeast Community Fellowship Staff
George & Mary Merriweather Senior Pastors
Pastors George and Mary Merriweather planted the Northeast Community Fellowship Foursquare Church in 1991, after serving on the Pastoral staff at the Portland Foursquare Church. They have two young adult children, George, Jr. and Ashley Nicole along with a 8-yr. old granddaughter, Mya. Pastors George and Mary have been married for 36 yrs. Pastor George attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO and Mary is a certified Life-Coach. Pastor George has been ministering in the word for over 40 years as a Pastor, teacher, conference speaker and mentor. He enjoys sports and is a loyal 40 year Dallas Cowboy fan! Northeast Community Fellowship Church is a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church with a passion for people, our theme,”A Kingdom Church With a Community Heart”. We thrive to be Real, Relevant and Relational in our service to God and our ministry people.
Charles & Naomi Finley Associate Pastors
N. Charles and Naomi Finley, are long time members of NECF and have served on the Pastoral Staff since 2001. They have been married for 45 years, they have four children and six grandchildren. Pastor Charles retired from Tri-Met after 23 years as a bus driver. He enjoys studying the Bible, visiting people especially his grandchildren, and traveling. Naomi enjoys reading, shopping for unique handbags for herself and others, and traveling. The Finley’s are passionate about their love for God and His people!”
John & Angila Uwagbae Bookkeeper
John and Angila Uwagbae have been married for 38 years and they have three children and four grandchildren. Their family has been a part of the Northeast Community Fellowship Foursquare Church for the past 29 years and they have all served in ministry. John retired from Portland General Electric after 33 years as an Electrical Engineer. He is currently serving as the church’s bookkeeper.
DeVora Jones Administrative Assistant
DeVora has been a member at NECF since 2011. She is the proud mother of three adult children and three grandchildren. DeVora loves to help people and she loves the Lord. She has served in several ministries at NECF and she currently serves as the Administrative Assistant in the church office.
Saint Fleur Saint Preux Church Custodian
Saint Fleur Saint Preux, born in Haiti, as a young adult moved to Turks and Caicos Islands where he used his masonry skills, while also being employed as a security officer for Grand Turk Cruise Lines. In 2015, he and his children relocated to Portland, Oregon to unite with Sherrena (Torrence) Saint Preux who has been a member of NECF for more than twenty years. Saint Fleur serves on our Security Team and is the Church Custodian. He is hard-working, always willing to help where needed and has a heart for people and for God.
