Northeast Community Fellowship Missions Portland Rescue Mission Ministry
Proverbs 21:13 Whoever shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be heard.
Our Mission Statement:
To humbly serve as ambassadors for Christ in our community.
To share Christ’s love with the lost and forgotten people in the city of Portland.
To see minds renewed, strongholds broken, lives changed and souls saved.
On the 3rd Saturday of each month at 5:30 pm, The Portland Rescue Mission Ministry Team meets at the Burnside Shelter. We serve dinner, provide dining room support and talk with guests. During this time, we are able to spend one on one time getting to know their story.
After dinner, the team gathers in the chapel and ministers to the rescue mission guests through music, a short message from the Word of God or personal testimony. We believe that when physical needs are met, (like food) it opens up the heart to receive spiritual needs. Our desire is to make Jesus Christ real and relevant through being open and honest about ourselves, our faults, our salvation and our redemption.
Ministry Date: The 3rd Saturday of every month
Service Time: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm (during summer months only)
5:30 pm – 8:00 pm (all other months)
